Shipping & Returns

When will my order Ship?

Your order will be shipped within 3-5 business days.

The artworks will be carefully packaged and sent by registered mail, so you must sign to receive it.

Please note, international buyers may incur import duties and customs fees. Please check your local tax/import laws.

How long does shipping take?

You will receive a shipment notification email with an estimated delivery date, including a tracking number. Please ensure you provide the correct contact details and delivery address.

What is your Exchange Policy?

We don't accept returns due to a change of mind. However, we can arrange an exchange (excluding commissions) provided the package is still sealed in the same way it arrived in and the painting is in re-saleable condition. Additional postage charges will apply.

What is your Return Policy?

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


To start a return, you can contact us at info@renatevandongen.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on where to send your package. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned. This includes commissions and custom orders.  Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Please note! Whilst every effort shall be made to ensure that the digital images shown on the website are an accurate representation of the original paintings, there may be minor colour differences due to the lighting conditions at the time of photographing and due to the settings on the screen that the photo is being displayed on. 

When will I receive my Refund?

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

How can I pay?

I offer a variety of payment options. You can choose from the following options:

  1. PayPal: Pay with ease and security via PayPal. Use your PayPal account to check out quickly and easily.
  2. Bank Transfer: Manual transfer.
    Fill out the contact form, mention which watercolor it is and you will receive further instructions to complete the payment.

General Terms and Conditions

What are your general terms and conditions?

  • As the artist, I retain the copyright of all images on this website.
  • I retain the right, to use digitally recorded images of any purchased artwork for whatever purpose I choose, including, but not restricted to, the purposes of promotion and creating reproductions.
  • Whilst every effort shall be made to ensure that the digital images shown on the website are an accurate representation of the original paintings, there may be minor colour differences due to the lighting conditions at the time of photographing and due to the settings on the screen that the photo is being displayed on. 
  • Texture changes are considered intrinsic properties of the artwork and do not constitute a significant discrepancy.
  • Any user may sign up to the newsletter using the forms available within the website.
  • By purchasing a work of art through the website, the customer agrees to be automatically included in the newsletter mailing list.
  • You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by either clicking on the "unsubscribe" link provided in every newsletter, or by emailing Renate directly.
  • Any information provided by a user/customer will remain completely private and confidential and will never be disclosed to any 3rd party entity.
  • I am not responsible for the content of any external site that may be linked to on these pages.
  • I reserve the right to modify the contents of this website, including user comments and terms and conditions, in any way I feel is appropriate.

Commission Terms and Conditions

What are your terms and conditions for commissions?

  • A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the price of the artwork is to be made at the time of the commission. Work cannot start until the deposit is paid. In the unlikely event that you decide to cancel your commission, the 50% deposit is retained to pay for the time I have taken to create the artwork. There will be no re-negotiations on price once a piece is commissioned.
  • As the artist I reserve the copyrights to all commissioned pieces, and I may use digital photographs of the artwork to promote my business. 
  • Prints of commissioned works will only be made available with the consent of the purchaser.
